Notifications

Real push notifications straight to a phone's lock screen — not just a banner inside the app — for anything urgent, plus automatic reminders for attendance and weekly progress.

وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ الذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

“And remind, for indeed the reminder benefits the believers.”

— Surah Adh-Dhariyat, 51:55

🔔 Overview

Notifications (اطلاعات) is separate from the in-app Announcements banner on the Dashboard. An announcement is only seen once someone opens the app; a notification from here reaches their phone directly — the lock screen, the notification shade — the same way any other app's alerts do, whether MadarsaHub happens to be open at that moment or not.

📤 Sending a Notification

  1. Open Notifications (اطلاعات) from the sidebar.
  2. Choose who should receive it — Nazim, Teachers, or others, depending on who this concerns.
  3. Write a title and message, and send.

Each person receives it in whichever language they've set their own account to — Urdu or English — automatically, without you needing to write it twice.

⏰ Automatic Reminders

Beyond what you send yourself, two reminders go out entirely on their own once Notifications is turned on:

  • An attendance reminder to a class's teacher if a slot's attendance still hasn't been marked a little while after it started.
  • A weekly reminder to parents and students to check that week's Sabaq/Sabqi/Manzil progress.

Both respect your madrasa's holidays automatically — nobody gets an attendance reminder for a class that's off that day.

🗂️ Notification History

Tap History (تاریخ) to see everything sent so far, filterable by Today, This Week, or This Month — useful for checking exactly what was already told to whom, before sending something similar again.

💡 Good To Know

Notifications is a toggle-able module — off by default, turned on from Settings, and visible only to the Mohtamim unless access is specifically extended to the Nazim too. A built-in diagnostics view shows whether a particular person's phone is actually reachable, for tracking down why someone says they never got an alert.
